Unlikeable.Every single character in this book is completely unlikeable.
I really liked this book for the most part. The premise of the storyline, a child abducted and found alive is interesting.
It was a good book although I was a little disappointed by the end. It's twisted, which I normally enjoy, but I feel like some parts just didn't make much sense in the overall plot.
Exactly as described.
A twelve year old goes missing and for four years her parents struggle to find answers. Dark, disturbing, and suspenseful.
This is one eerie and unsettling read. If you like to have good and evil clearly defined and delineated, this book is so not you.
Given the story line, this wouldn't have been an easy book to write. The premise is that a 12 year old girl could fall in love with her local, homely, middle-aged, and financially limited abductor, then refuse to testify against him four years later when he releases her after feeling the first kindling of police heat.
Twelve year old Catlin takes her rambuncsious dog for a walk in the park near home and disappears. Author, David Bell explores the family's pain, especially from the father, Tom's, point of view.
Before this, I had never read a book in which every single character was thoroughly unpleasant.By the middle of the book, I didn't care who lived, who died or who was or wasn't found.
This book is amazing! It keeps you thinking the entire way through.
Cud happen type of book. author makes u see as real people.
Not half the read as gone girl. Ehh...
I hated this book. I read a lot.
Cemetery Girl grabbed my attention and I finished it within 2 days. It was suspenseful and not every twist was predictable.
Fave reviews for this book and I found it empty. The parents of Caitlin (the girl who disappeared) seemed two robots following a script.
