I got a lot out of it. I felt motivated to be a better Christian and person.
David A. Bednar is a wise teacher.
The book is a marvelous guide in become what the Lord has planned for all of us.
I felt like I really grew spiritually as I read this book -- it has caused me to look at different areas of my life and look for ways to ACT! It is good to know something; great to understand it; but it is a completely different level of spirituality to ACT and have experiences which will bring us closer to Christ!
This book took longer for me to read than Elder Bednar's first book in this series, "Increase in Learning." The first book I devoured in just a few days.
This is the second of a three book series, fairly short. I have not read the first book but he gives an overview of it in this book.
This is the second in a series of books by Elder David A Bednar, an Apostle of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It builds and expands on the first book in the series, giving counsel on how to act in faith and doctrine.
This is a great book! This is a book that needs to be read over and over again.
A lot of the subjects he addresses in his talks are drawn together in a new way here. I like it, but the content is so similar to what I can get for free that I don't know that I would buy it.
This was a very, very good book. I will read his other two books in the "Act In" series.
Nice insights. Especially liked the last two chapters.
I think that if you agree that a lot of the Apostles have particular themes that they like to hit on in their talks again and again, then there would be a good argument that Elder Bednar's theme is learning in faith. He has spent a lot of time talking about how to learn and how to teach gospel truths.
So far I have read this book once and already got a lot out of it. However, this is a book that needs to be read, pondered, studied, etc, multiple times.
This is a really good book. If every member of the church understood the message contained in this book every individual, family, ward, and stake in the church would be completely revolutionized.
Elder David A. Bednar is a masterful teacher!
