Reviews

The author of this book must be commended for his diligence in covering so many topics related to the age of nuclear deterrence in such a concise volume. Apocalyptic fiction has been a staple of literature and film since the conclusion of World War II, but the social implications of mutually assured destruction are now an issue of historical importance and this book does a good job at summarising the scale, the ramifications and ultimately the horror that nuclear warfare could potentially have brought about on a global scale.
