Read again for an adult book club, was not my favorite as a chiild and not as an adult, but appreciated the writling more this time than before.
I bought this book as an easy travel book, and is one of my all time favorite books.I very much like this one, it has booth Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking glass.
I got this to read to my son, he loves the Walt Disney version and the audio book. I didn't realize how tiny this book really is.
Gorgeous! This book was a lot tinier than expected; I guess I didn't read the description well enough but it is beautifully done up.
A lot of the other reviewers gave it negative stars for the size of the book, but this actually made me drawn to it more. When i received it, the book itself was actually a bit bigger than i had expected, but it is still small, like a pocketful but i think the dainty-ness of it is what i like the most about it.
The book is good, I love classics! I was so happy to find a collectors edition, because Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books.
I only paged through this book ,it' a gift for my granddaughter, and her mother and I both feel she will love it.
Cute book but very small. Not mini finger book but smaller than your average hard cover.
The book dimensions are appriximately 4x6 inches. The small font makes it difficult to read for both adults and children alike, and the small illustrations loose some of their charm.
Having grown up with the classic Disney tale and the Through the Looking Glass television special (which ran once a year, much like the Wizard of Oz, a two-night special!), it was difficult for me to fully appreciate the original tale.
It shipped in just around the time I was expecting it to. Unfortunately the brown package did not live very long once it made it into my hands.
I've been looking for these editions since a certain bookstore stopped carrying them a couple tears ago. They are small, about 4x6.
4.5/5.
Such an odd little book, though I suppose that was rather the point. The point being, that the entire book has no point.
I enjoyed reading this classic in it's original form, although it amazed me any publisher touched it - they certainly wouldn't today. And it amazes me more that it became a 'classic'!
