This is good for a quick refresher while in clinical. I keep it in my bag for areas where I cannot get WiFi and access more current online databases.
This book is awesome for medical students and nurse practitioner students. It has clear and concise contents.
This book has a lot of errors, like Hemoglobin Barts is composed of 4 beta chains (should be gamma) and many others, and it's in its fifth edition and still lacking an errata. This is just a lackluster product to make money without providing substance or followup to fix the errors.
I really like the format of this book and it has a lot of information. The major problem I found is that there are A LOT of errors.
My background: I am a licensed DO in CA who attended Western U. I scored well above average on my boards, and the B&W series was one of my main study guides for COMLEX I-III...
Excellent compact review of pathophysiology. Can be used on the wards or for step 1 review.
Great book, only few words changed from 4th edition. Features more compact size which accounts for change in number of pages.
