Be sure you are ready to dig deeply into your own nature when you read this. If you are looking into I-Ching, then you are certainly ready to start reading this.
Brian Browne Walker's "The I Ching or Book of Changes," assists one to a higher understanding of how to master inner calm and stability for better decision making, during the changing times of one's life, and the inner landscape of one's continually changing inner emotions. The elegant suscinct simplicity can be more difficult for some, such as those who have a propensity toward a "changable nature," or a "mutable nature.
This is the second book that I have from Brian Browne Walker. He does an excellent job translating and the wisdom contained helps in acheiving greater contentment in one's life.
For anyone just beginning their studies in the I-Ching, or those who are more experienced and rely on this oracle regulary, this book is wonderful. Brian Browne Walker's interpretation of this amazing resource falls perfectly between being too difficult for the average user to understand, and being so "dumbed down" that someone experienced with the I-Ching would find it useless.
I was just introduced to this topic and before buying this book I read many reviews that claimed it was simple for people just being introduced to the I Ching (they also complained that many others were very difficult to understand). I agree with them that this book is very easy for the new-comer to understand and use.
BBW is a real gem of a translator of these works. I use this book whenever I need advice.
What can I say about this book if you want to be on the right path of truth and change in your life and practice these things on a day to day basis my friend this is the book for you to read , I read this and the bible and it takes you back to the straight and narrow path which it all leads back to righteousness.
This is one of my favorite books. I have used it every day for the last year.
Stays true to the classicThe I Ching or Book of ChangesRichard Wilhelm version, but puts it in English metaphors, instead of Chinese. Fast read, easy to understand, unfailing wisdom.
This book is simple and straight forward, easy to use. I would recommend it.
This ;book has finally shown me what the I Ching teaches. I use it daily to learn and be guided by its wisdom.
This is one of the easist I Ching books I've found, so far !The text is "right on" when throwing the coins for the hexagrams, italways seems to be just what is needed at the time.
