A very entertaining, light-hearted story that was an enjoyable read. The characters were easy to relate to and the plot was simple and realistic.
Even though this is about the Indian culture, as a white boy, I really identified with the themes of love and marriage Mr. Patel writes about.
Books.
I thought it was really good. As a first generation Gujarati girl, I can relate to the experiences that the character goes through.
Great Read! All I can say is that it's about time that someone write a book on the subject that all of us ABCDs have to go through in order to find a mate here in Amrika.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. While it details the search for love and marriage in the Indian culture, the book's humorous telling of the search, including the involvement of family and friends in Vijay's efforts to find his true love, will be enjoyed by all.
I felt like I was reading about me and my friends growing up in America. It was hilarious to read about the dating adventures of Vijay.
Patel's true-to-life story explores a young man's journey (and his emotions with stunning acuracy) to find love while trying to reconcile Indian and Western influences. This ravishingly beautiful story is unforgettable!.
