Biography

Born 6 September 1958. An Australian composer, performer and conductor. He studied the clarinet with his father, , and began performing professionally as a clarinettist in 1975. In addition to his contemporary classical compositions, he has composed the music for many feature films including Babe, Miss Potter, and several Imax films including Antarctica.

Other Works

His opus 1, "Omphalo Centric Lecture"(1984) for percussion quartet has become one of the most frequently performed and recorded works in the percussion repertoire by groups in the USA, Japan, Europe and Australia.
