An Italian-American jazz fusion and Latin jazz guitarist.
Played guitar in the jazz fusion band Return to Forever, which featured keyboardist Chick Corea and bassist Stanley Clarke , and recorded three albums with them before quitting the band in 1976. Al has been going solo since.
Attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts before joining Return to Forever in early 1974.
Resides in Bergen County, New Jersey as of February 2009.
Jazz musician.
Reunited with his old band Return to Forever, who are currently on tour, but have not set any plans for a new studio album.
